NORWALK, CT, October 4, 2005 - VISA has signed a multi-year agreement with Ventus Networks to provide wireless financial transaction routing technology and network management as part of their emerging products and services.

VISA has selected Ventus Networks to provide their customers with secure and reliable wireless connectivity to drive remote financial devices as well as monitoring and maintenance management services.  Ventus' highly secured transport solution is recognized as falling within the VISA guidelines for CISP compliance.

Ventus Networks high-speed wireless transport solution operates in conjunction with TCP/IP and legacy protocols, enabling any remote device to communicate through a single network scheme. Ventus Networks used their proprietary VFN wireless series routers and network management services in conjunction with SecureNet software enabling operation in all CDMA or GPRS environments.

The company's wireless network runs as part of a virtual private network (VPN) that is enhanced by Triple DES encryption with IPsec tunneling and x .509 key exchange through their secure data center to a host or transaction processor.  This provides improved security for ATM/POS, or transactional kiosk devices.
