U.S. BANK SIGNS CONTRACT FOR SECURE FINANCIAL
DATA TRANSPORT SERVICES WITH VENTUS NETWORKS
Norwalk, CT – October 2, 2006 U.S. Bank recently signed a multi-year contract with
Ventus Networks for a secure wireless delivery network, including Ventus’ proprietary
routers, antennas, monitoring, and maintenance. U.S. Bank’s parent company, U.S. Bancorp
(NYSE: USB), is the 6th largest financial services holding company in the United States
(assets of $213 billion), and operates over 2,400 banking offices.
U.S. Bank, supported by the strength of Elan Financial Services, (a U.S. Bank subsidiary that
includes: Genpass, Inc., MoneyPass, MoneyMaker, and MONEY BELT ATM Networks) makes U.S. Bank
the nation’s second-largest, third-party ATM processor. It also operates the
second-largest bank-owned ATM network (approximately 31,000 ATMs) in the country.
Another acquisition, FastBankFree has merged with MoneyPass to create a large, national
surcharge-free ATM network (with 10,500 ATMs in 48 states).
