Because we believe the quality of our products and service is integral to our customers’ success, Ventus develops and carries out all processes and manufacturing with a disciplined focus on quality assurance and constant improvement. While all internal processes, changes, and controls are overseen according to Six Sigma standards, our Quality Management Systems differ across our business units.
IT and Software Development QA: Ventus utilizes a hybrid methodology incorporating Six Sigma project management with the Lean IT development philosophy. This streamlined variant has been refined over time and has proven to be consistently successful.
Six Sigma: All improvements to business processes and resolutions of customer issues endure a battery of testing scenarios designed specifically to meet Six Sigma goals. This method consists of five phases: Define the problem, the voice of the customer, and the project goals; Measure key aspects of the current process and collect relevant data; Analyze the data to determine cause-and-effect relationships, and seek out root cause of the defect; Improve the current process to create a new, future state process, and Control the future state process to ensure that any deviations from target are corrected before they result in defects.
Lean IT: We carry out all software and infrastructure development in accordance with Lean IT, a corporate philosophy dedicated to developing IT products and services with no waste, waste being work that adds no value. The five-step process of Lean IT is to specify value from the standpoint of the customer, map the value stream for the product family, create project flow, let customers pull value from the next upstream activity, and seek perfection by repeating the process until value is created with no waste.
Manufacturing QA: All Ventus networking appliances and peripherals are manufactured in accordance with Restrictions on Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives and ISO 9001:2008 certification quality assurance standards.
RoHS: We manufacture all of our products in compliance with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. All of our product design and manufacturing is conducted in accordance with this directive: no heavy metals (including lead, mercury, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium) or brominated flame retardants (including polybrominated diphenyl ethers [PBDE] and polybrominated biphenyls [PBB]) are contained in our electronic products and components put on the market from July 1, 2006.
ISO 9001:2008: All Ventus networking appliances and antennas are manufactured in accordance with ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9001:2008 certification quality assurance standards. To meet these standards, a company needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and aim to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
