NYFIX needed to lower costs while ensuring scalability, accurate custom billing, and proactive hands-on management of the network. Network administration was outsourced to Ventus Networks.
Implementation and Management
NYFIX's many network components and characteristics had to be totally integrated and managed centrally by Ventus Networks, which devised a plan to migrate all network administration duties to its data center team. Key was ensuring no disruption of the network during this transition and providing enhanced security and flexibility once Ventus Networks took control.
Network Security
Because NYFIX processes billions of electronic transactions annually, its business requires high levels of network security. Ventus Networks complies with Gramm, Lesch, Bliley Act and regulatory financial requirements regarding network security.
Customized Billing
The large size of the NYFIX network, and its many moving parts presented a challenge to the monitoring and auditing staff. The project required consolidation of data for reporting and billing purposes, according to specific requirements set forth by the NYFIX. Ventus Networks designed a custom invoice that is easy to read, accurate and completely electronic for easy reference and payment processing.
